KLA-SSC : First of all Congratulations on your grand success; Please, introduce yourself?
Umesh : Thanks a lot sir. I Umesh Kumar Luhaniwal come from a joint family. I am a resident of village-Baragaon, Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. My father is a businessman and my mother is a house-wife. With care of better half (an SSC-CGL aspirant of KLA), I have 2 year old cute angle.
KLA-SSC : Why did you choose a career in SSC?
Umesh : SSC recruits officers and Inspectors for the most reputed department of Central Government. It is a channel to the place where one can implement one’s attitude toward society, nation and humanity. As well Government job provides job security with work life balance.
KLA-SSC : What was your strategy for SSC exams and, both for SSC CGL Prelims and SSC CGL Mains?
Umesh : First of all, I must mention that to crack competitive exam one must know the trend of the particular exam. Particularly, SSC-CGL is a test of one’s aptitude towards problem solving and time management skills. To develope aptitude and get it implemented in given time one must practise previous years’ questions rigorously. Indeed it is worth mentioning, all the four books (Mentioned below) of Kiran Prakashan that contain previous years’ questions are sufficient to get through SSC CGL in six-month practice with decent time devotion and perseverance. Books which I would like to recommend are:
1. Kiran SSC Mathematics Chapterwise
2. Kiran SSC General Awareness solved papers 3. Kiran SSC English Language Chapterwise solved papers 4. Kiran SSC Reasoning Chapterwise solved papers
“Reading one book ten times is better than reading ten books one time”. Practising more and more, one single reliable book of each subject will help you to deal with the concept deeply.
KLA-SSC : How did you prepare for SSC CGL Mains?
Umesh : In terms of syllabus and difficulty level there is not much difference from SSC-Pre exam. Time management is the key to get through, so one needs to practise online mock tests on daily basis and a detailed strength-weakness analysis is required after each mock test. Improve all the weak points and buildup concepts. Thorough practice will help in time management and to overcome the anxiety and exam pressure on D-day.
KLA-SSC : How did you prepare for the SSC CGL TIER-III exam?
Umesh : Thanks to KLA (Kiran Learner’s Academy) to help me prepare for the essay writing and letter writing sections. Further I was aware of all the current affairs and Government schemes that helped me write the content of the essay. Kiran Publication was the first publication who published the book for SSC CGL TIER III exam.
KLA-SSC : Sometimes aspirants get bogged down by the syllabus and enormity of the task there by losing the focus. Any tips on how to get motivated and focused.
Umesh : Yes, there is vast syllabus to cover but positive approach helps to prosper. Negative thinking is a barrier to progress. Always maintain a positive vision and take advice from the successful not from the failures.
KLA-SSC : How did you use Kiran Prakashan books during preparation?
Umesh : Books of Kiran Publication played a vital role to acquaint me with the exam oriented questions and approach to solve them in allotted time.
KLA-SSC : Thank you for sharing your experience and strategy with us. God bless you, stay healthy and serve the nation.
Umesh : Welcome sir, I would also like to thank KIRAN PRAKASHAN for giving me a column in this magazine.
