Karnataka government launched two new schemes

• The Government of Karnataka has launched two new schemes. One of these schemes is to bring government services to the doorsteps of citizens and the other scheme has been started for redressal of public grievances.
• In order to bring government services at the doorsteps of citizens, the Karnataka government on Monday launched an online portal ‘Janasevak’ (public servant) and an Integrated Public Grievance Redressal System (IPGRS) ‘Janaspandana’.

Important information about Jan Sevak Portal

• Jan Sevak is an initiative to help people to get government services easily.
• Using a mobile application or website, or by contacting a call centre, people can access 56 government services at their doorstep, including home delivery of ration at subsidized rates, or Aadhaar card, caste certificate, income certificate .
• Includes Senior Citizen Card, BBMP Account Transfer and Health Card.

Details about Janspandan Initiative

• Janspandana is an Integrated Public Grievance Redressal System (IPGRS) through which the government promises a one-stop platform for citizens to receive complaints regarding any government scheme or service.
• Janspandana is a call center which helps in redressal of various grievances of the citizens.
• Citizens can call the helpline (1902) and register their complaints regarding any government scheme or service
