Utkarsh Samaroh

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi has virtually addressed the ‘Utkarsh Samaroh’ program organized in Bharuch, Gujarat.
• The event was organized to celebrate 100% saturation of the four flagship schemes of the state government in this district.
• While interacting with the people of this district, PM Modi talked about the Utkarsh initiative. Bharuch district administration carried out this initiative from January 1 to March 31, 2022 with an aim to provide full coverage of four state government schemes for the elderly, widows and poor citizens of this district.
• A total of 12,854 beneficiaries were identified under the four schemes.

It has four plans:

1. Indira Gandhi Vriddha Sahay Yojana
2. Ganga Swaroop Financial Assistance Scheme
3. National Family Support Scheme
4. baseless old age financial aid scheme

The district administration had set up a taluka-wise WhatsApp helpline to collect data about all those in this district who could not take advantage of the four state government schemes.
