The project is implemented under the Renewable Energy Service Company (RESCO) model. In this model, RESCO takes the responsibility of designing, building, financing and operating the entire solar power plant, whether it is rooftop or ground mounted. This approach ensures a smooth execution and provides long term benefits.

Meeting energy needs and reducing carbon emissions
- By generating approximately 14.9 lakh units of electricity per year, the rooftop solar project will meet 15% of IIT Jodhpur’s electricity requirement.
