The PM-Kisan mobile app of face authentication feature was launched by the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare under “Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi” for the aspirational and income support to the farmers of the central government. Using the face authentication feature from this app, farmers can remotely , can easily complete e-KYC even sitting at home by scanning face without OTP or fingerprint. Also can help 100 other farmers to do e-KYC at their home. Recognizing the need to make e-KYC mandatory, the Government of India has extended the ability of farmers to perform e-KYC to officers of state governments, so that each officer can complete the e-KYC process for 500 farmers.Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi is a very comprehensive and ambitious scheme of the Government of India, in the implementation of which the State Governments have performed their role very diligently. After KYC, it will be easier for about 8.5 crore farmers to get the installment of this scheme and only eligible farmers will get the benefit. The more refined this platform is, the easier it will be for the central and state governments to give any benefit to the farmers along with the work of PM-Kisan.

- In this scheme, 6 thousand rupees will be given to the farmers in the bank accounts linked to the Aadhaar card. The annual amount is transferred directly in three instalments.

- Now the difficulties related to Aadhaar verification and bank account details updation on PM Kisan Portal have been resolved by effective use of digital public goods.
PM Kisan App
- The new app is very easy to use, easily available for download on the Google Play Store.
- More than 8.1 crore farmers were successfully paid the 13th installment of PM Kisan directly into their Aadhaar linked bank accounts through Aadhaar Enabled Payment only, which is a record in itself.
- The app will also provide many important information related to the scheme and PM Kisan accounts to the farmers.
- In this, farmers can know the status of land seeding, linking of Aadhaar with bank accounts and e-KYC using the no user status module.
- Apart from this, India Post Payment Bank (IPPB) has also been involved in opening Aadhaar linked bank accounts for beneficiaries at their doorstep and CSCs have been asked to organize village-level e-KYC camps with the help of States/UTs.
