- A total of 105 antiquities dating back to 2nd-3rd century AD to 18th-19th century AD are being sent back to India by the US authorities, days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s state visit to the US in June.
- Some valuable Indian antiquities were handed over by the US in a special repatriation ceremony held at the Consulate General of India in New York in the presence of India’s Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu, Consul General Randhir Jaiswal and officials from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.
