- Russian oil giant Rosneft has appointed GK Satish, a former director of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), to its board.
- It has indicated to strengthen business relations with India by appointing former IOC director GK Satish on its board of directors.
- Satish is the first Indian to join the board of directors of this Russian company.
- He retired in the year 2021 as Director (Business Development) of public sector petroleum company IOC.
- IOC has partnerships with Rosneft in certain oil and gas fields in Russia. Apart from IOC, it also sells crude oil to some other Indian companies.
