National Mountain Climbing Day is celebrated every year on August 1 by the enthusiastic citizens of the United States of America.
This special day commemorates the remarkable feat of Bobby Matthews and Josh Madigan, who achieved the extraordinary feat of climbing all 46 peaks of the Adirondack Mountains in New York.
His journey ended with the successful ascent of the final peak, Whiteface Mountain, on August 1, 2015.
The main objective of National Mountain Climbing Day 2023 is to raise awareness about the art of mountain climbing among the general public.
National Mountain Climbing Day was established in 2015 after the successful ascent of the final summit of the Adirondack Mountains by Matthews and his partner, Madigan.
