- The Assam government has announced the launch of MODI (Most Outstanding District Initiative) Award with a budget of Rs 100 crore to reward the cleanest district in the state.
- As per the policy, districts have to meet 108 parameters (including sanitation, old waste disposal, maximum coverage of clean drinking water) to qualify for the cleanest tag.
