- INS Sahyadri took part in the first India-Indonesia-Australia trilateral maritime exercise.
- INS Sahyadri is the Indian Navy’s indigenously built warship. It participated in the exercise from 20-21 September 2023.
- The trilateral exercise offered an opportunity for the three maritime nations to strengthen their partnership.
- It also offered them an opportunity to improve their collective capability to support a stable, peaceful and secure Indo-Pacific region.
- INS Sahyadri is the 3rd ship of the indigenously designed and made Project-17 class multirole stealth frigates.
- It was built at Mazagon Dock Ltd, Mumbai. It is commanded by Capt Rajan Kapoor.
