- Operation Sajag aims to re-validate the coastal security mechanism and raise awareness among fishermen living at sea.
- During the drill, comprehensive checking and verification of documents and crew passes of all fishing boats, barges, and crafts at sea was carried out.
- A total of 118 ships took part in the drill. These included customs, maritime police, ports, and Indian Navy ships.
- As part of security measures, biometric card readers have been provided to security agencies.
