Zepto becomes the first Indian unicorn of the year 2023
- Indian grocery startup Zepto said on 25 August 2023 that it has raised $200 million in fresh funding.
- With a valuation of $1.4 billion, the startup has become the first unicorn in the country to achieve this milestone within a year.
- Existing backers including Nexus Venture Partners, Glade Brook Capital and Lachie Grooms also participated in the deal, according to the company.
- Zepto promises to deliver groceries to your doorstep in 10 minutes. It was started in 2021 by two 19-year-old Stanford dropouts.
