Submersible Platform for Acoustic Characterisation and Evaluation (SPACE) is a premier testing & evaluation hub for sonar systems for the Indian Navy, has been set up by DRDO.
It was inaugurated at Underwater Acoustic Research Facility, Kulamavu in Idukki, Kerala on April 17, 2024.
It has been designed as a premier testing and evaluation hub for sonar systems onboarding various platforms including ships, submarines and helicopters.
