Prem Singh Tamang has taken the oath of Sikkim CM for the second term

Sikkim Krantikari Morcha supremo Prem Singh Tamang took the oath of Chief Minister of Sikkim.
Governor Lakshman Acharya administered the oath of office and secrecy to Tamang and his Council of Ministers.
The swearing-in ceremony was held at Paljor Stadium in Gangtok.
The council of ministers in Sikkim has a strength of 12 members, including the chief minister.
Sikkim Krantikari Morcha has won 31 of the 32 assembly seats in the polls.
The opposition Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) that ruled for 25 years has won only one seat.
The Chief Minister is the elected head of the State Government. He acts as the link between the governor and the Council of Ministers.
Article 163 states that there shall be a Council of Ministers headed by a Chief Minister to aid and advise the Governor.
The Chief Minister has the real executive powers in the State.
