- Gambhir will officially start his term this month. He will serve until December 31, 2027.

- Gautam Gambhir was a member of the 17th Lok Sabha from 2019 to 2024.
- He was conferred the Arjuna Award in 2008. He received the Padma Shri in 2019.
- He is the only Indian batsman, who has scored over 300 runs in four consecutive Test series.
