  • The 4th Mekong Ganga Dhammayatra brought more than 20 Buddhist experts, retired civil servants, and distinguished Thailand residents to Delhi.
  • The purpose of the 4th Mekong Ganga Dhammayatra is to deepen the ties that bind the Mekong and Ganga civilisations together.
  • Dr. Supachai Viraphuchong, Secretary-General of the Bodhgaya Institute 980, is in charge of the Dhammayatra.
  • Thailand and India are partners in the Dhammayatra.
  • In order to proclaim the Century of Dharma, it supports collaboration across all spheres, including the private, and public sectors.
  • The Yatra’s aim is to spread the Dhamma’s timeless teachings on avoiding conflict and being environmentally conscious throughout the world.
  • BodhiGaya Vijjalaya 980 is organising the event in association with other organisations from Thailand and India.
  • The 97th anniversary of the late Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s birth is being commemorated with the 4th Dhamma Yatra.
