- Soren has just taken oath alone and the Cabinet expansion is planned after the government wins the trust vote in the Assembly.
- Recently, the JMM-led alliance won a decisive victory in the state assembly elections, winning 56 out of 81 seats.
- Soren defeated BJP’s Gamlil Hembrom in the Barhait assembly seat by a margin of 39,791 votes.
