- GRSE Kolkata has built the survey vessel ‘Nirdeshak’. It weighs 3800 tonnes and is 110 metres long.
- Two diesel engines power it. It is equipped with state-of-the-art hydrographic and oceanographic survey equipment.
- This boat is designed to conduct hydrographic surveys, aid navigation and support maritime operations.
