  • After the US tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Egypt on his two-day state visit. He was awarded the highest state honor of Egypt in the capital Cairo. Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi conferred the ‘Order of the Nile’ award on PM Modi.
  • Started in the year 1915, this honor is given to heads of state, princes and vice-presidents who have rendered invaluable service to Egypt or humanity. This is the 13th highest state honor given to Prime Minister Modi.
  • The ‘Order of the Nile’ is made of pure gold, consisting of three square gold units, which contain the emblems of the pharaohs who ruled Egypt.

  11. The Grand Collar of the State of Palestine Award
  12. The State Order of Ghazi Amir Amanullah Khan, the highest civilian award of Afghanistan
  13. Saudi Arabia’s highest honor Order of Abdul Aziz Al Saud
