Hindustan Unilever has appointed Rohit Jawa as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company.
He will replace Sanjeev Mehta. Java currently serves as the Chief of Transformation of Unilever, the parent company of Hindustan Unilever in London.
After Mehta’s retirement, Rohit Java is going to take over his charge tomorrow i.e. on June 27, 2023. This appointment has been made for a period of 5 years.
Rohit Jawa, 56, had joined Hindustan Unilever in the year 1988 as a Management Trainee. He has been with the company for over 35 years.
Jawa is expected to get an annual salary of Rs 21.43 crore as MD and CEO of Hindustan Unilever, according to the company’s annual report.
He will also get an amount of Rs 4.83 crore as mobility-linked allowance in FY 2024.
