Gopalpur Port, the deepest all-weather port in the state of Odisha with round-the-clock operations, has achieved the fastest loading of iron ore lumps manually since its inception.
Gopalpur Port created history by achieving the highest ever iron ore lump cargo loading of 59,150 MT in 24 hours on board a vessel MV Richie Spring named by M/s JSW Steel.
Gopalpur Port is a deep sea port of Gopalpur near Brahmapur city in Ganjam district of Odisha, India. This port has been developed on the coast of Bay of Bengal.
The port will boost Odisha’s maritime trade as well as industry and employment.
Gopalpur Port started its commercial operations in 2013 as an all-weather port on a trial basis.
