Major League Cricket 2023 tournament is set to commence in Texas and North Carolina, USA. In its inaugural season, six teams will compete for the championship title.
The matches will be played in the Twenty20 (T20) format and will kick off on July 14 in India. The entire tournament will be livestreamed in India.
The event spans 18 days, featuring a total of 19 matches, with 15 played in a round-robin format.
The newly-built Grand Prairie Stadium in Texas and Church Street Park in Morrisville, North Carolina, will host the matches.
Among the six teams, four are owned by franchises from the Indian Premier League (IPL). These franchises include MI New York (Mumbai Indians), Texas Super Kings (Chennai Super Kings), LA Knight Riders (Kolkata Knight Riders), and the Seattle Orcas (Delhi Capitals).
The remaining two teams are the San Francisco Unicorns and the Washington Freedom.
