Establishment of Global Center for Traditional Medicine
- In 2022, WHO established the Global Center for Traditional Medicine in collaboration with the Government of India. Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of WHO-GCTM last year in the presence of Director General of WHO.
- The center is a collaborative project of India’s Ministry of AYUSH and the World Health Organization (WHO) and is the first and only global center for traditional medicine worldwide.
