- Axis Bank, one of the largest private sector banks in India, has launched a first of its kind new savings account variant ‘Infinity Savings Account’ to cater to the needs of the customers. Customers can open accounts in a completely digital way through the video KYC process.
- Axis Bank is the third largest private bank in India. Axis Bank has its headquarters in Mumbai and registered office in Ahmedabad.
- Axis Bank started as UTI Bank. Its first branch was opened on 2 April 1994 in Ahmedabad. It was inaugurated by the then Finance Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.
- UTI Bank started its operations in 1993 after the Government of India gave permission to new private banks. On July 20, 2007, UTI Bank changed its name to Axis Bank.
