The third edition of Project Veer Gaatha saw the active participation of more than 1.36 crore school students from all the states and union territories of India.
Veer Gatha Project
- Launched in 2021 under Gallantry Awards Portal (GAP).
- The objective of this project is to highlight the acts of bravery of the armed forces and inculcate the values of patriotism and civic consciousness among the students.
- Students submit poems, paintings, essays, videos and more to honor these brave individuals.
Major Activities
- Various activities were conducted at school level under Veer Gatha Project 3.0 in which schools uploaded their best entries on MyGov portal.
- 100 winners will be selected at the national level.
- Will be awarded jointly by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Defense.
- Each will receive a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
- Winners at the District level (4 winners) and State/UT level (8 winners) will also be recognized and felicitated.
- Two editions of the Veer Gatha project, Version-I and Version-II, have been organized in 2021 and 2022 respectively.
