World Philosophy Day is observed every year on the third Thursday of November.
It is an international day proclaimed by UNESCO. It was first celebrated on 21 November 2002.
The main objective of the day is to raise awareness about the importance of philosophical analysis, research, and the study of major contemporary issues.
Philosophy is an inspiring discipline as well as an everyday practice that can transform society.
On this occasion, UNESCO’s partners encouraged to organize various types of activities- philosophical dialogues, debates, conferences, workshops, cultural events and presentations.
Philosophy is the study of the nature of existence, knowledge, truth, and ethics.
