ISRO chairman S Somanath announced that the country aims to achieve debris-free space missions by 2030.
ISRO has a clearly laid-out plan for space exploration. The main aim of the initiative is to achieve debris-free space missions by 2030.
Presently, India has 54 spacecraft in orbit, and many non-functional objects.
Isro had brought several old satellites and fourth stage of PSLV rockets back to the Earth through the deorbiting process as part of its zero orbital debris mission.
India is also planning to set up its own space station ‘Bharatiya Antriksh Station’ by 2035.
