- Seven members of the Shompen tribe voted for the first time in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
- Seven members of this particularly vulnerable tribal group (PVTGs) of Great Nicobar Islands voted for the single Lok Sabha seat in the UT.
- In addition to voting, they also posed for selfies at polling station 411, which is named as ‘Shompen Hut’.
