  • The construction of the world’s largest temple Virat Ramayana Temple began on June 20 in Bihar’s East Champaran district.
  • The Virat Ramayana temple will occupy an area of 3.67 lakh square feet and will have a main structure standing at a height of 270 feet with another structure rising to 198 feet.
  • Additionally, there are four more structures designed with a height of 180 feet.
  • The temple will be 280 feet in length and 540 feet in width, making it larger in size than the Ayodhya temple, which is 360 feet in length and 235 feet in width.
  • There will be 22 temples dedicated to Shaiva and Vaishnava deities within the temple complex. The 120-acre site will be developed as Janki Nagar, which will have an ashram, gurukul (educational institution), dharamshala (guesthouse) and other facilities.
