SBI Cards and Payment Services (SBI Card), the country’s largest pure-play credit card issuer, has appointed Abhijeet Chakraborty as MD and CEO.
SBI Card said in a filing to the stock exchanges that Chakraborty, who is currently Deputy Managing Director at SBI, will take charge of his new role on August 12. He has been appointed as the MD & CEO of SBI Card for two years.
The current MD & CEO Ram Mohan Rao Amara has tendered his resignation due to his transfer to SBI. Amara will retire on August 11.
