- He won silver medals in the Asian Games in China and the Asian Championships in Thailand this year.
- He also won a bronze medal in the Paris Diamond League this year.
- He won the 2022 Commonwealth Games silver in Britain.
- He was seventh in the World Championships in the USA last year.
- The award consists of a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and a plaque.
- The award will be presented to Sreeshankar on December 22.
