• A new species of butterfly “Neptis phyllora” has been discovered by researchers in the Tail Valley Wildlife Sanctuary located in Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh.
• The discovery has been published in the journal “Tropical Lepidoptera Research”.

• This is a rare species of butterfly.
• It is commonly known as the long-line sailor.
• This butterfly was first described by M. Menetries of Russia in the year 1859.
• Species of this butterfly are found in various regions of East Asia, including eastern Siberia, Korea, Japan, central and south-west China.
