Anurag Thakur announced to honor renowned actress Waheeda Rehman with the Dadasaheb Phalke Lifetime Achievement Award for the year 2021. Waheeda Rehman will be honored with the 53rd Dadasaheb Phalke Lifetime Achievement Award. The award was presented during the 69th National Film Awards ceremony. Waheeda Rehman has earned immense fame for her roles in Pyaasa, Kagaz Ke Phool, Chaudhavi Ka Chand, Saheb Biwi Aur Ghulam, Guide, Khamoshi and many other major Hindi films.

Waheeda Rehman

  • Waheeda Rehman was born on 3 February 1938 in Chennai.
  • He entered the Telugu industry in 1955.
  • After this, he got his first break in Hindi cinema in 1956 from the film CID.
  • Waheeda Rehman last worked in the Marathi film Skater Girl in the year 2021.

  • Has worked in more than 90 films in a career spanning five decades.
  • She received Filmfare Best Actress Awards for her roles in Guide (1965) and Neel Kamal (1968).
