On 8 May 2026, Jayan
Mehta was unanimously elected as the first Chairman of Sardar Patel Cooperative
Dairy Federation Limited (SPCDF).

Jayan Mehta is currently
the Managing Director of Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation Limited
(Amul).
¨
Sangram Chaudhary was
elected as the Vice Chairman of the federation.
¨
Sardar Patel Cooperative
Dairy Federation Limited is a newly formed multi-state cooperative federation
in India.
¨
The federation was
inaugurated on 6 July 2025 by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah.
¨
The election of office
bearers was held at AmulFed Dairy in Gandhinagar.
¨
The results were formally
announced on 7 May 2026.
¨
Jayan Mehta’s name was
proposed by Ashok Chaudhary.
¨
His nomination was
supported by Shabesingh Parmar.
¨ The SPCDF board includes one representative each from GCMMF and its 10 member unions.
¨ The board also includes three representatives each from cooperative dairy societies of Assam, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh.
