PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the first phase of the Noida International Airport

¨     PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the first phase of the Noida International Airport on March 28.

¨     This airport has been constructed with an investment of approximately ₹11,200 crore.

¨     It has been designed as a sustainable and future-ready infrastructure project.

¨     The facility aims to operate as a 'Net-Zero Emission' airport.

¨     This project is one of India's largest greenfield airport development projects.

¨     It is expected to help India achieve its goal of becoming a 'Global Aviation Hub.'

¨     It will serve as a major international gateway for the National Capital Region (NCR).

¨     This airport is being developed as a second international hub for the Delhi-NCR region.

¨     It will complement the operations of the Indira Gandhi International Airport.

¨     Initially, its passenger handling capacity has been set at 12 million (1.2 crore) passengers per year.

¨     In subsequent phases, this capacity can be expanded to 70 million (7 crore) passengers annually.

¨     The airport features robust infrastructure for cargo handling.

¨     It also includes a 'Multi-modal Cargo Hub' equipped with integrated logistics facilities.
