¨   Krishna Kumar Thakur, an officer of the 1998 batch, has assumed the charge of Director (Personnel) at NMDC Limited. NMDC is India's largest iron ore producing company.

¨   He began his career as an officer of the Indian Railway Personnel Service. He possesses over two decades of experience in Human Resource Management within the Indian Railways and Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).

¨  He officially assumed charge on March 20, 2026. This appointment marks a significant step towards strengthening human resource leadership within the organization.

¨     As the Chairman of the Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) for Western Railway, he oversaw the recruitment of approximately 12,000 employees. This achievement underscores his proficiency in large-scale recruitment and workforce planning.
