relics of Lord Buddha are set to return to India after a seven-day public
display in Colombo.

The relics were displayed
at the famous Gangaramaya Temple.

the Devnimori relics were taken abroad for an international exhibition.

A senior Indian
delegation is overseeing their return journey.

The delegation is led by
Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel and Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief
Minister Chowna Mein.

Senior Buddhist monks and
government officials are also returning to India with the relics.

Thousands of devotees
from across Sri Lanka visited and prayed at the temple during the week-long
event.

The exhibition was
considered an important spiritual and cultural occasion.

Sri Lankan President
Anura Kumara Dissanayake formally inaugurated the exhibition.

described the visit of the relics as a blessing for the nation.
