National Productivity Day
is celebrated every year on February 12 in India to raise awareness about the

under the guidance of the National Productivity Council (NPC) and marks the
beginning of National Productivity Week, which runs from February 12 to 18.

History of National Productivity Day

commemorate the establishment of the National Productivity Council (NPC).
¨ NPC was established on February 12, 1958, under the Societies Registration Act, 1960.
¨ It is an autonomous organization that promotes a culture of productivity in India.
