National Productivity Day : 12 February

¨     National Productivity Day is celebrated every year on February 12 in India to raise awareness about the vital role of productivity in economic growth, sustainable sustainability, and innovation.

¨     This day is organized under the guidance of the National Productivity Council (NPC) and marks the beginning of National Productivity Week, which runs from February 12 to 18.

¨ The purpose of this day is not only to increase production, but also to promote environmental sustainability, human resource development, and quality improvement.

History of National Productivity Day

¨     This day is celebrated to commemorate the establishment of the National Productivity Council (NPC).

¨     NPC was established on February 12, 1958, under the Societies Registration Act, 1960.

¨     It is an autonomous organization that promotes a culture of productivity in India.
