¨     The 17th edition of the India Game Developers Conference was held in Chennai.

¨     From November 5 to 7, the 17th India Game Developers Conference (IGDC) was held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

¨     On November 6, the Tamil Nadu government signed several memorandums of understanding with various gaming organizations.

¨     A Center of Excellence for Gaming will be established in Chennai within six months.

¨     Regional centers will be established in Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichy, Salem, and Tirunelveli.

¨     The state will have a dedicated facilitation cell, which will act as a single window for providing business support and also enhance the ease of doing business in the state.

¨     The state has a GDP growth rate of 11.9%, the highest in India, and has seen the establishment of 10,800 start-ups in the last three years.

¨     IGDC is considered a significant conference for the gaming community, bringing together creators, studios, investors, and publishers from around the world.

¨     Last year, the event attracted over 4,000 attendees and featured over 200 speakers.
