2nd Bharat Green Hydrogen Summit 2026 was held in New Delhi

¨     2nd Bharat Green Hydrogen Summit 2026 was held on 23 July 2026 in New Delhi.

¨     The summit was organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).

¨     The event focused on green hydrogen, hydrogen-based mobility, and export competitiveness in the energy sector.

¨     Green hydrogen is produced by electrolysis of water using electricity generated from renewable energy sources.

¨     Hydrogen produced using solar, wind, or other renewable electricity is classified as a low-carbon fuel.

¨     Green hydrogen is used in oil refining, fertilizer production, steel manufacturing, long-duration energy storage, and heavy transport.

¨     The National Green Hydrogen Mission is India's flagship policy framework for developing hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and end-use infrastructure.

¨     The mission promotes domestic manufacturing of electrolysers.

¨     It also supports the development of Green Hydrogen Hubs and encourages demand for green hydrogen in industrial sectors.

¨     Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy Shripad Yesso Naik addressed the summit through a video message.
