¨     50.06 million residential rooftop solar systems have been installed across India under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.

¨     The scheme promotes clean energy adoption, increases the use of rooftop solar power, and reduces household electricity expenses.

¨     Millions of families are benefiting from clean and affordable electricity by installing rooftop solar systems.

¨     The scheme aims to expand residential rooftop solar capacity, promote energy self-reliance, and reduce dependence on conventional energy sources.

¨     Eligible households receive Central Government subsidies for installing rooftop solar systems, lowering the overall installation cost.

¨     Target: To cover 10 million households with rooftop solar systems by March 2027.
