 Andhra Pradesh and Australia signed four Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in Amaravati

¨     Andhra Pradesh and Australia signed four Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) in Amaravati on 2 August 2026.

¨     The agreements aim to strengthen cooperation in clean energy, advanced manufacturing, inclusive education, student mental health, and skill development.

¨     The MoUs involve institutions and agencies including UNSW Sydney, IIT Tirupati, Samagra Shiksha, the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education, and the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation.

¨     The first MoU establishes collaboration between the Centre of Excellence for Energy Transition (CoEET) of the Andhra Pradesh Government, IIT Tirupati, and UNSW Sydney.

¨     Under this agreement, a Centre of Excellence for Solar Manufacturing will be established at IIT Tirupati.

¨     The centre will focus on solar photovoltaic manufacturing, solar panel recycling, circular economy practices, industry-driven research, and specialised training.

¨     The second MoU involves UNSW Sydney, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, and Samagra Shiksha, Andhra Pradesh.

¨     It aims to provide teacher training for inclusive education and support for children with autism and other neurodiverse learning needs.

¨     Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam is a women’s university in Andhra Pradesh.
