Andhra Pradesh’s First Project under
Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2024

commission its first project under the Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2024 on
22 May 2026.

The project is located in
the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh.

It is a 600 MW solar
power plant developed by SAEL Industries.

The project involves an
investment of ₹3,000 crore.
¨
The Integrated Clean Energy
Policy 2024 aims to attract investments worth around ₹10 lakh crore.

The policy targets adding
more than 160 GW of renewable energy capacity.
¨
It covers solar power,
wind power, pumped storage, and renewable energy manufacturing.
¨
ReNew Energy Global Plc
will lay the foundation stone for a ₹5,400 crore solar manufacturing facility
in Anakapalli district on 23 April 2026.

The facility is planned
as a 6 GW solar ingot and wafer manufacturing unit.
¨
The government of Andhra
Pradesh approved the allocation of the 2,250 MW Gandikota-2 pumped storage
project in YSR Kadapa district.

The project was allocated
to Adani Hydro Energy Eleven Ltd. on 20 May 2026.
¨
The project has a
completion timeline of 72 months.
¨
Andhra Pradesh introduced
the Resource Adequacy Regulations 2026 in March 2026.
¨ These regulations focus on long-term power planning and generation capacity planning.
¨ The framework aims to support a power system with an increasing share of renewable energy.
