and 7/10 in Funding & Market Reach.

As of 17 June 2026,
Bengaluru had 30 unicorn startups, compared with the global average of 11
unicorns per city.

Between 2021 and 2025,
Bengaluru’s startup ecosystem attracted US$39 billion in venture capital
funding.
¨ Bengaluru is recognised as the world’s second-largest AI talent hub, with around 600,000 AI and machine learning professionals.
¨ As of 10 January 2026, Bengaluru had 606 AI-native startups, of which 239 had received funding.
