CCRAS Launches Three Major Initiatives to Strengthen Ayurveda Research and Digital Access

¨     Under the chairmanship of Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) held its 5th Executive Committee Meeting on 3 July 2026.

¨     During the meeting, three significant initiatives were launched to advance evidence-based Ayurveda research, digital transformation, and scientific writing among young researchers.

Three Key Initiatives Launched

¨     The meeting introduced three important initiatives focused on research education, scientific writing, and digital accessibility for Ayurveda professionals and the general public.

¨     Research Methodology Textbook – Ayurveda Prabodhini Granthamala

¨     A Research Methodology textbook was released under the Ayurveda Prabodhini Granthamala series. More than 50 research scientists and faculty members contributed to its preparation.

¨     The textbook follows the outcome-based and dynamic curriculum prescribed by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) for postgraduate and doctoral AYUSH education. It is primarily intended for MD, MS, and Ph.D. scholars and is expected to strengthen research methodology, scientific thinking, and evidence-based research capabilities in Ayurveda institutions.

CCRAS PRAYATNA 2026–27

¨     The Council launched the Expression of Interest (EOI) for CCRAS PRAYATNA 2026–27, a flagship programme aimed at promoting scientific writing and publication skills among postgraduate and Ph.D. scholars in Ayurveda.

¨     The official PRAYATNA poster was also unveiled. The programme focuses on structured, institution-based workshops designed to develop a strong research culture and equip young Ayurveda researchers with the communication skills required for publishing research and making meaningful contributions to the field.

CCRAS Digital Ecosystem Dashboard

¨     The third launch was the CCRAS Digital Ecosystem Dashboard, an integrated platform that brings together the Council’s web-based resources, research outcomes, and institutional information in a single, easily accessible location.

¨     Developed to enhance transparency and public accessibility, the dashboard is now live at dashboard.ccras.org.in. It serves as a centralized digital gateway for accessing CCRAS resources and research information.
