¨     Chanakya Defence Dialogue 2025 hosted by Indian Army.

¨     On 27 November, Chanakya Defence Dialogue 2025 (CDD) has been inaugurated at the Manekshaw Centre, New Delhi.

¨     President Droupadi Murmu graced the inaugural session.

¨     Chief of the Army Staff, General Upendra Dwivedi delivered the keynote address outlining India’s security challenges.

¨     Organized by the Indian Army in collaboration with the Centre for Land Warfare Studies, this dialogue focuses on the national vision of Sashakt, Surakshit and Viksit Bharat.

¨     The Indian Army’s comprehensive transformation roadmap, including HOP 2032 for accelerated transition, STEP 2037 for consolidation and JUMP 2047 for an integrated, next-generation force design, has been presented.

¨     The President emphasized that new domains such as cyber, space and cognitive warfare require forces that are technologically agile and future-ready.

¨     75% of capital procurement budget is now allocated to domestic industry to promote indigenisation and innovation.

¨     Domestic production and exports in defence are increasing rapidly.

¨     CDD 2025 aims to provide a platform for strategic deliberation on India’s future security architecture.

¨     India’s journey towards a strong, secure, and developed nation is being reinforced through moral clarity, technological excellence, and self-reliance.
