Chhattisgarh Cabinet approved the Chhattisgarh State Artificial Intelligence (AI) Mission

¨     Chhattisgarh Cabinet approved the Chhattisgarh State Artificial Intelligence (AI) Mission.

¨     The mission has an outlay of ₹500 crore.

¨     It will be implemented for a period of five years.

¨     The mission aims to promote governance, skill development, technology adoption, and expansion of the digital economy.

¨     It is a state-level AI policy initiative focused on using AI in public administration and digital services.

¨     The mission is aligned with the Government of India’s IndiaAI Mission.

¨     The approval was given at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur.

¨     The mission aims to establish 100 AI Data Labs across Chhattisgarh.

¨     It will also establish 5 Centres of Excellence (CoEs).

¨     AI training will be provided to 6 lakh students.

¨     Around 1.5 lakh government employees will also receive AI training.

¨     The mission proposes support for more than 300 AI start-ups.

¨     AI Data Labs are specialised facilities for data processing, model development, and machine-learning experimentation.

¨     Centres of Excellence will serve as institutional hubs for research, training, and advanced technology development.
