¨ China imposed export controls on 10 American companies and banned government procurement from 46 U.S. firms.

¨     The measures were announced by China's Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Finance.

¨     The action was taken in response to the U.S. Department of Defense expanding its list of Chinese military companies.

China added the following 10 U.S. companies to its Export Control List:

1.     Aveox

2.     Red Cat Holdings

3.     Teal Drones

4.     IMSAR

5.     Jaia Robotics

6.     Ball Aerospace & Technologies

7.     Oshkosh Defense

8.     L3Harris Maritime Services

9.     MP Materials

10. USA Rare Earth

The export controls apply to dual-use items.Dual-use items are goods, software, or technologies that have both civilian and military applications.Under the new rules, dual-use items cannot be exported to the listed companies.Organisations and individuals outside China are also prohibited from transferring or supplying China-origin dual-use items to these entities.All ongoing export activities involving these companies must cease immediately.China's Ministry of Finance also prohibited government procurement agencies from purchasing products made by 46 U.S. companies.The procurement ban includes major defence firms such as Lockheed Martin, Raytheon Missiles & Defense, and Boeing Defense, Space & Security.
