CHIRAG Centre Inaugurated in Hyderabad

Centre for HR Information
Systems, Research and Analytics in Governance (CHIRAG) was inaugurated on 25
May 2026 at the SCR Grounds near the Zonal Railway Training Institute in
Moula-Ali, Hyderabad.
¨
CHIRAG is a Centre of
Excellence of Indian Railways focused on human resource management, research,
and digital transformation.
¨
The centre aims to
provide role-based and certified Human Resource Management System (HRMS)
training for railway employees across different cadres.
¨
CHIRAG will conduct
capacity-building programmes related to HRMS implementation and governance.
¨
The centre will develop
an HRMS-MITRA master trainer cadre for deployment at the Zonal Railway Training
Institute.
¨
It includes advanced
computer laboratories and an iGOT recording studio for wider dissemination of
training modules.
¨
CHIRAG will function as a
think tank for HR policy formulation and integration of various railway
systems.
¨
The centre will use
Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and predictive analytics
for HR decision-making in Indian Railways.
¨ State-of-the-art digital training infrastructure has been established at the facility.
¨ During the inauguration, the foundation stone for a new CHIRAG building was also laid.
