The 58th IChO was held in
Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from 10 to 19 July 2026.

India won four gold
medals, recording its best-ever performance in the competition.

The International
Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) is an annual international chemistry competition for
secondary school students.

It is one of the four
major International Science Olympiads.
¨
The other major Science
Olympiads are the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), International
Physics Olympiad (IPhO), and International Biology Olympiad (IBO).
¨
India's other gold
medallists were Harshit Singla (Punjab), Kabeer Chhillar (Delhi), and Sandeep
Kuchi (Telangana).

India jointly secured
first place in the medals tally with China, Vietnam, and the Individual
Participants Group B from Russia.

The 2026 edition featured
363 students from 93 countries, making it the largest IChO ever held.

won a silver medal at the 57th International Chemistry Olympiad 2025.
